Thanks for letting me share your website. You folks don't seem as old now as you did back in high school. I seem to be catching up with you age wise.

Thanks to the many classmates who expressed sympathy at the loss of my brother, Dale. I experienced, first hand, what I believe to be one of the strongest reasons for our class to remain intact and to communicate our support and concern for each other. Again, many thanks....wsh

Please permit me to share with you that Edwina and I attended last evening the receiving of friends for Mrs. Mary Ruth Tallent (McAfee), the mother of Becky Tallent Higdon and Jerry Higdon, son-in-law and our classmate. Edwina and Becky were close friends during high school days. Becky is also the first cousin of our classmate, Ken Snodderly. Becky and Jerry were most appreciative of our visit and support. They both expressed positive thoughts with respect to our 50th class reunion. Messages to the family can be posted at www.mem.com.

Thanks to Linda for locating our 'lost' class pres., John Earl, and thanks to Wayne for keeping us updated. Let's look toward spring at a possibility for a mini reunion in LaFollette.
Wayne Heatherly - 01-21-2009
Thanks to Linda Morelock for locating and putting us in contact with John Earl Long. He and his family live in Perkinston Ms. His address is 457 Ten Mile Church Road, Perkinston MS 39578. John Earl's home in Gulfport was wiped out by Katrina. If you have a spare keepsake from the high school years which you would be willing to share with him, I know he would be thrilled to receive it. He is planning to visit La Follette in the spring. That might present a wonderful opportunity to have a springtime get together for those in easy travel distance. We will try to identify when he is coming and develop our plans from there.
I also want to encourage you to remember and keep in your prayers two of our classmates who are now dealing with malignant issues, Deloris Hatmaker Columbus and Eldon Hicks. We also want to remember Judy Claiborne Leach in the loss of her husband of many years, Bill.
At the same time, I do encourage others who are facing illnesses of other serious issues, to share them with us. I know many of your classmates would want to remember you and your situation in prayer and, otherwise, strive to reduce your burden by letting you know that there are those who care foryou and want to support you in whatever ways you feel appropriate.

Thank you for accessing our web site. Thanks to each of you who attended the reunion. We certainly missed those of you who could not attend and look forward to seeing you at the 2010 multiclass reunion...We will identify a time when we can get together at the reunion and post it as soon as the plans can be finalized. Thanks...wsh

Hi all!! I'm looking forward to seeing all of you at the reunion!!
Charlene Oliver Williams--Webmaster OWLS Website - 05-07-2008
Great Site. Bill, I'm sure your class appreciates you very much for this 'unpaid' administrative job. I do have you linked to the index page of the OWLS Website and hopefully that will steer more visitors to your site. Especially those from the class of 1958. You'll find it can be exasperating but rewarding.
Lilnda Graham Morelock - 04-28-2008
Great job, Bill! You are managing a site we will all enjoy. Thanks Wayne for sponsoring a contact page for the 1958 class. I hope to see many classmates taking advantage of this great link. Linda
